Disclosures, Disclaimer: Seller has been extremely happy here and had no intention of ever leaving this beautiful country lifestyle setting. Seller is being forced to move because of a small group of bigots that organized and held a meeting at the taxpayer funded Town of Farragut Community Center which in turn then openly discussed blocking a certain minority group of disabled Americans from simply going to and from their homes. The Town of Farragut official presiding over the meeting even had this to say about one of our neighbors that is confined to a wheelchair; “maybe we could increase the margin between the speed bumps so they (the disabled neighbor) could go between the speed bumps in their wheelchair in the middle of the road.” Seriously! The @townoffarragut wants a neighbor with no legs that is confined to a wheelchair to go between two speed bumps on a steep incline on the very narrow Admiral Road. Regardless of the discrimination and civil rights violations, the Town of Farragut is installing illegal speed bumps that block a minority group of disabled Americans from simply traveling to and from their own homes. Speed bumps are in violation of The Americans with Disabilities Act, however, regardless of the civil rights violations the Town of Farragut is proceeding anyway so if this is a concern please do your due diligence when considering this home for purchase. Admiral Road & Sonja Drive are very narrow roads that are about to become even more dangerous. Yes like all neighborhoods Farragut View Subdivision has a minor speeding problem but the biggest traffic problem we face is the 99.9% of our residents that speed through flagrantly running the stop signs at Admiral Road and Sonja Drive at the entrance of our walking trail. This is a safety concern for our kids walking to and from school that the Town of Farragut, the Knox County Mayor and the Knox County Sheriffs Department refuses to address so again please do your own due diligence when considering this home for purchase. There are plans for building a new school so in the very near future one of the four Farragut Schools will be relocated approximately 3 miles away. If schools are a priority please do your due diligence about the overcrowding of our schools when considering this home for purchase. Seller is a retired licensed real estate agent.

No Listing Agents please. Buyers Agents with legitimate buyers are welcome as long as your commission has been negotiated with your buyer client. Thank you for your understanding.

Facts & Implications of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities:

ADA Implications: “The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which stipulates that new facilities must be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities.” “The ADA Title II regulations define ‘facility’ to include ‘roads’” “The regulations go on to say that alterations to facilities must be accessible and usable to the maximum extent feasible.”

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990: Protects the civil rights of people with disabilities from being discriminated against based upon their disability (or their perceived disability).

Across this great country, local governments are supporting small groups of people that are organizing a vote that in essence block and injure persons with back and other disabilities from simply going to and from their homes; equivalent to a local government supporting a group of people to organize a vote for segregation.

Discrimination is the act of making distinctions between people based on the groups, classes, or other categories to which they belong or are perceived to belong.[1]People may be discriminated on the basis of racegenderagereligiondisability, or sexual orientation, as well as other categories.[2]Discrimination especially occurs when individuals or groups are unfairly treated in a way which is worse than other people are treated, on the basis of their actual or perceived membership in certain groups or social categories.[2][3] It involves restricting members of onegroup from opportunities or privileges that are available to members of anothergroup.[4]  From Wikipedia

A few people petitioning a local government to organize a meeting for the benefit of said few to then discuss organizing a vote that blocks the disabled from simply traveling to and from their homes is the very definition of discrimination!

Disability discrimination, which treats non-disabled individuals as the standard of ‘normal living’, results in public and private places and services, educational settings, and social services that are built to serve ‘standard’ people, thereby excluding those with various disabilities…” From Wikipedia

Bigotry aka Prejudice[1] can be an affective feeling towards a person based on their perceived group membership.[2] The word is often used to refer to a preconceived (usually unfavourable) evaluation or classification of another person based on that person’s perceived personal characteristics, such as political affiliationsexgendergender identitybeliefsvaluessocial classagedisabilityreligionsexualityraceethnicitylanguagenationalityculturecomplexionbeautyheightbody weightoccupationwealtheducationcriminalitysport-team affiliationmusic tastes or other perceived characteristics.[3] From Wikipedia
